1) Q. Watchman Nee is a highly respected Christian and a spiritual giant of the faith. When did he
become a Christian?
A. Watchman Nee (1903-1972) became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at the age of seventeen and
began writing in the same year.
问：倪柝声是非常受敬重的基督徒和信仰上的属灵伟人。他是什么时候成为基督徒的？
答：倪柝声弟兄（1903～1972 ）于一九二○年，即他十七岁时，在中国大陆蒙恩，同年便开始写作。
2) Q. Since Watchman Nee was saved at a young age, when was he called to serve the Lord?
A. His salvation and calling to serve the Lord took place simultaneously. He realized that God wanted
him to obtain His eternal life, and He also wanted him to serve Him and be His co-worker.”
问：倪柝声在年轻时就得救了，那他是什么时候蒙召事奉主的？
答：他的得救与蒙召事奉主是同时的。他知道主一面要他得着祂永远的生命，一面要他来事奉祂，并与祂同工。
3) Q. Watchman Nee seemed to be a seeker of the Lord. Was he able to meet other seekers of the Lord
like himself?
A. During his school days Watchman Nee’s seeking after the Lord brought him into frequent contact
with Margaret E. Barber. She was an Anglican missionary who was sent to Fukien, China, in the 19th
century.
问：倪柝声似乎是个寻求主的人。他是否能遇到其他跟他一样的寻求者呢？
答：倪柝声弟兄还在学校的时候，因着寻求主，与和受恩（Margaret E.Barber）经常接触。和受恩是圣公会的宣教
士，在十九世纪被打发到中国的福建。
4) Q. As a person who loved the Lord and wanted to serve Him, how did Nee receive spiritual light and
life?
A. Through reading Christian publications, Watchman Nee was not only helped to receive spiritual
light and life; he also became knowledgeable regarding church history and Christianity in the Western
world.
问：作为一个爱主并愿事奉主的人，倪是如何得着属灵亮光与生命的？
答：读基督教的书报，不只帮助他得着属灵的亮光与生命，也使他对召会历史和西方的基督教有丰富的认识。
5) Q. In addition to receiving spiritual help from Christian publications, what else did he realize?
A. Watchman Nee realized that the Lord was burdening him and commissioning him concerning two things:
1) to bear a specific testimony of the Lord, and 2) to establish local churches.
问：除了从基督教的书报得着属灵帮助之外，他还有其他的认识吗？
答：倪柝声领悟主给他的负担并托付，是在于两件事：（一）作主特别的见证；（二）建立地方召会。
6) Q. Watchman Nee received revelations from the Lord. How did these revelations affect the content
of his ministry?
A. Out of Watchman Nee’s revelations inwrought by his sufferings, a ministry came forth. His ministry
was clearly of two aspects: first, of Christ and, second, of the church.
问：倪柝声从主得着了启示。这些启示如何影响到他职事的内容？
答：借着苦难，启示作到倪弟兄里面，由此产生出职事。他的职事很清楚的有两方面：第一是基督，第二是召会。
7) Q. Today many Christians are drawn to Watchman Nee’s rich ministry. How did such a ministry come
about?
A. Watchman Nee endured much suffering for the sake of his ministry. The sovereign arrangements of
God in his environment were also a source of trouble and a means by which God dealt with him.
问：今天许多基督徒被倪柝声丰富的职事所吸引。这样的职事是如何产生的呢？
答：倪柝声弟兄为着他职事的缘故，忍受了许多苦难。神对他环境的主宰安排，也是他困苦的源头，以及神对付他
的凭借。
8) Q. It seems that suffering was a major part of his life and I heard that he was even put in
prison. Is this true?
A. In the spring of 1952, he was arrested and imprisoned; and in the summer of 1956, after a long
trial, he was sentenced to fifteen years’ imprisonment. He was, however, never released.
问：苦难似乎是他人生的主要部分，我听说他甚至被下到监狱里，这是真的吗？
答：一九五二年春，他被捕入狱；经过长期的审讯，他在一九五六年夏被判十五年徒刑，但他至终并没有得着释放。
9) Q. Being in prison, away from his family and ministry must have been a real suffering to him. Did
he die in prison?
A. During his imprisonment, only his wife was allowed an occasional visit. Not long after her death
in 1972, Watchman Nee also came to the end of his pilgrimage on this earth and rested with Christ,
whom he served at the cost of his life.
问：离开了他的家人和职事，监禁对他一定是不小的痛苦。他是不是死在了监狱里？
答：在他被监禁的期间，只有他的妻子得允许偶尔去看他。她死后不久，在一九七二年，倪柝声弟兄也走完了他在

10) Q. After living a life of suffering and dying in prison, was his ministry able to continue?
A. Under the Lord’s sovereignty, his ministry has spread throughout the entire world as an anti-
testimony to today’s Christianity and a rich supply of life to all seeking Christians.
问：在度过了苦难的一生，死于监狱之后，他的职事还能够继续吗？
答：在主的主宰之下，他的职事传遍全世界，向今日的基督教作了相反的见证，对所有寻求主的基督却成了丰富生
命的供应。
