1) Q. One of the main features of the Recovery Version are its footnotes. When were they written?
A. In 1974, Witness Lee began to write the notes for the Recovery Version of the Bible. The notes
were written to expound the Bible. The main purpose of the notes was to bring the readers into the
truth.

2) Q. The footnotes in the Recovery Version seem to be extensive. Will they help me get into the
truth?
A. I do not believe you can find as many basic truths in other books as you have found in the
Recovery Version. Other expositions and commentaries, for example, do not correctly point out what
the main truth in the book of Matthew is.
问：恢复版圣经的注解好像很丰富。它们会帮助我进入真理吗?

3) Q. Commentaries that I have don’t explain what Matthew is about. What about the Recovery Version?
A. The Recovery Version clearly points out that this is a book on the kingdom of the heavens and it
gives you a proper definition of the truths concerning the kingdom of the heavens.

4) Q. When the footnotes were written, what were their main purpose?
A. The first purpose of the notes is to present to you the truth, and the second purpose is to
minister to you the life supply.

5) Q. There are many difficult verses to understand in the Bible. How do the footnotes help?
A. The third purpose of the notes is to help us to solve the common and hard problems in the New

6) Q. I have only read part of the New Testament and have come across some problems. Is this normal?
A. In nearly every book of the New Testament there are some questions which are hard to answer and
some problems and points which are hard to understand.

7) Q. Sometimes when reading the Bible I run into problems. Will the footnotes help me?
A. The notes in the Recovery Version are also an attempt to solve the hard problems in the Bible to
help the readers to get through them.

8) Q. There are some passages in the Bible that give me problems. Can the Recovery Version help me?
A. In the Recovery Version, there are adequate notes to help on problems. A lot of time was spent
going into the original Greek, to the lexicons, to the concordances, and to others’ expositions in
order to get a proper understanding.
问：圣经有些段落困扰我。恢复译本能帮助我吗？

9) Q. In addition to solving problems, in what other way is the Recovery Version helpful?
A. The fourth purpose of the Recovery Version with the notes is to open up the books of the Bible.
After the Recovery Version of a book had been published, that particular book of the Bible was opened
to us.
问：除了解决问题之外，恢复译本在别的方面有什么益处？
答：恢复译本带注解的第四个目的，是要解开圣经的各卷书。一卷书的恢复译本出版以后，圣经的那一卷就向我们解开了。
10) Q. The Bible has existed for a long time. How has its interpretation been built up through the
years?
A. The interpretation of the Bible has been built up by the entire Body of Christ through the past
nineteen centuries. We inherit all the interpretation of the past centuries and stand on the
shoulders of the foregoing teachers.
问：圣经已经存在很长时间。在已过的这些年间，圣经的解释是如何建立起来的？
